What is SIBO?
SIBO, or Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth, is a condition where bacteria are present in unusually high numbers or an altered balance in the small intestine. They can ferment food earlier than it should be processed, which may contribute to bloating, gas, abdominal pain and changes in bowel habits.
Symptoms can overlap with other digestive conditions, so diagnosis and treatment should be guided by a clinician. The food guidance here is designed to make everyday eating feel clearer while you build a plan with your care team.
